Getting the flu vaccination is a good idea. Maybe you are worried about catching the flu, or you are concerned about having time off work. Or maybe you just want to make sure you do not pass it on to the more vulnerable members of your family. We’re offering the NHS Flu vaccines from the 1st October. You may be able to get it earlier if you’re in a certain group (see below). We will not accept NHS Flu vaccines via our own booking system. Important information for the flu season 2025/2026
You can get the NHS flu vaccine from 1st September 2025 if:
- you’re pregnant (especially if you’re near to your due date) – it’s important to get vaccinated before giving birth to help protect yourself and your baby for the first few months of their life
- all children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025
You can get the NHS flu vaccine from 1st October 2025 if:
- everyone aged 65 years and over
- individuals aged 18 to under 65 with certain long-term health conditions – Link to medical conditions is here.
- care home residents
- carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- those living with people who are immunocompromised
- frontline health and social care workers

Who Shouldn’t Get The Flu Vaccine
Most people can have a flu vaccine. However, there are a couple of exceptions:
- If you are currently unwell with a fever, you should delay getting the flu jab.
- If you have an egg allergy, speak to your GP or pharmacist before getting the jab.
