Maybe you’re worried about catching flu. Maybe you can’t afford time off work. Or maybe you just don’t want to pass it on to someone more vulnerable at home. Whatever the reason, the flu vaccine offers protection against this season’s circulating strains. Everest Pharmacy provides both NHS and private flu vaccinations across Manchester.
NHS flu vaccinations are booked through the NHS, not through us

Where to book your flu vaccine
Where you book depends on whether you’re eligible for a free NHS vaccination or would prefer to pay privately.
Option 1
NHS Flu Vaccine
Free if you meet the NHS eligibility criteria. Book on the NHS website or in the NHS App, then attend your appointment with us.
Cost: Free if eligible

Option 2
Private Flu Vaccine
Available to anyone who wants protection but doesn’t meet the NHS criteria. Book using the form at the bottom of this page.

Flu season 2026/27: key dates
The NHS flu programme runs in two phases this season. There are no changes to who qualifies compared with last year, but the dates have moved.
From 1 September 2026
- Pregnant women, at any stage of pregnancy. Vaccination before you give birth also helps protect your baby in their first few months.
- Children aged 2 or 3 on 31 August 2026
- School-aged children, Reception through to Year 11
- Children in clinical risk groups, from 6 months to under 18 years
From 1 October 2026
- Everyone aged 65 and over, including anyone turning 65 by 31 March 2027
- Adults aged 18 to under 65 with certain long-term health conditions — see the full list of qualifying conditions
- Residents in long-stay care homes
- Carers receiving carer’s allowance, or the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- People living with someone who is immunocompromised
- Frontline health and social care workers
The NHS programme runs until 31 March 2027, though most vaccinations are given before the end of November. School-aged children are usually vaccinated through the school programme rather than at a pharmacy.
Not eligible on the NHS?
You can still protect yourself. A private flu vaccination costs £19.99 and is available to book using the form at the bottom of this page. There’s no eligibility criteria and no need to be registered with a GP practice near us.
Who shouldn’t have the flu vaccine?
Most people can have a flu vaccine safely. There are a few situations where you should speak to us first:
- If you’re currently unwell with a fever, wait until you’ve recovered
- If you have an egg allergy, speak to your GP or pharmacist beforehand. An egg-free option may be suitable
- If you’ve had a serious reaction to a flu vaccine in the past
