General Health Checks

At Everest Pharmacy we pride ourselves in providing expert health care to our patients. Therefore whether you are looking to get general health checks or you are wanting to use our Consult and Treat Service, we are here for you.

We all look to live healthier lifestyles and make improvements to our everyday choices. The Everest Health Check can help you do this by analysing your current state of health and providing ways in which it can be improved.

First, you will be asked a few simple questions and have some straightforward health tests done. These will allow an assessment of your risk of developing four diseases: heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and kidney disease.

What tests will you have?

The following tests will be carried out to assess your current state of health:

• Blood Pressure
• Blood Glucose
• BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Cholesterol

The check will take around 20-30 minutes carried out by one of our highly trained team members. You’ll be asked some simple questions about your family’s health history, and any medication you’re taking. Your height, weight, sex, ethnicity and age will be recorded. Once the overall check is complete, one of our expert pharmacists will give you your results, and explain what they mean.

You’ll be given advice and support on maintaining good health, and on lifestyle changes that will help you to improve your health. If necessary, you’ll be referred to our Health Trainer or to your General Practitioner.
